**Challenge 1**

July 9th, 2022 on Lake Missaukee

Top Bass Tournament Trail held its fifth tournament of the 2022 season July 9th, on Lake Missaukee.

This tournament was named “The Frank’s Great Outdoors Challenge 1”. This was a normal one day tournament, with an optional twist. For those who wanted to, they paid an extra $30 to also fish Houghton Lake on July 23 to participate in the 2 lake Frank’s Great Outdoors Challenge. Total weight will be combined for Missaukee and Houghton to see who will win the 2 lake Challenge & payout.

The weather was pretty good as we had temps in the 70’s and normal winds. The fishing was also pretty good, as we had 21 limits come to the scales, and 162 bass in total got weighed in.

Congratulations to Mark Reinke, from Gladwin, who had a great day, and came to the scales with 14.64#, to take the win. John Franko, from Clare, held down 2^nd Place with 13.51#, which included Big Bass for the tournament @ 4.48#. Third Place went to Bill McQuarrie, from Newaygo with 12.05#. Mike Sielinski, from Gladwin took 4^th Place with 11.48#. JP from Houghton Lake finished 5^th, with 11.39#. We had a 100% live release.
