TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Shoe’ Top Bass Tournament Trail held its 5th tournament of the 2024 season, on Missaukee Lake in Lake City, MI.
This tournament was named “The Frank’s Great Outdoors" – Challenge – 2. This was a normal one day event, with an added optional 2 lake Challenge event. For those who entered the Challenge, this was the 2nd lake in the optional Challenge event.
The weather for the tournament was HOT, as the temp was in the upper 80’s, but with very little wind, until about 10:30am when we had light winds.
The fishing was OK, as we had 32 limits come to the scales. We only had 9 bass over 3 lbs that were weighed in but Paul Affholder was able to catch a 4.28 pounder for the RecLending Big Bass Award.
Congratulations to John Franko, from Clare, who won a very close tournament with a limit at 13.32#. Second Place went to Billy Booth, from Midland, with his 3rd Second Place finish of the season, with 13.24#. Levi Alberts, from Marion took Third Place, just .02# behind 2nd Place, with 13.22# (But had 13.47# and had a .25# deduction for a dead fish) Fourth Place went to Elmer Daniels, from Jackson with 13.09#. Aaron Hasse, from Dewitt was the Fifth Place finisher with 12.91#. Very close finish, with only less than a quarter pound separating 1st from 4th Place.
