TOP BASS
TOURNAMENT TRAIL
May 23th, 2026 on Saginaw River/Bay
TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Top Bass Tournament Trail, opened up their 30th season, with a tournament on Saginaw River/Limited Bay, out of the Independence Bridge Launch. The event was named, “The Gold Eagle Open” after one of our very best sponsors.
The weather for the tournament was BRUTAL, as the wind blew 17-35 mph out of the East, cloudy with light rain most of the day. Temps were in the 40’s.
There were 26 limits come to the scales, but only one 4+ pounder.
We were very pleased to have Lindsey Zientek, our rep from Gold Eagle up here from Georgia to view the “Gold Eagle Open”. It was great to have her here, we only wish Mother Nature would have been kinder with the weather.
A Special “Thank You” Keith Gylveszi and his supporters, for providing new weigh-in equipment. It works and looks outstanding. Everyone will enjoy the large viewing screen to see their weights.
Congratulations to Billy Booth, from Midland, who ran away from everyone, to win this event with a 5 fish limit, at 20.96#. Billy’s limit also contained Big Bass for the event with a nice 4.50# largemouth. (Billy is Back!!!!). In Second Place, some 5+ pounds back was Michael Sielinski, from Gladwin with a nice limit at 15.20#. Third Place was held down by Ron Conner, from Oxford with 14.53#. Kevin Vida, from Clare, took Fourth Place with 14.09# He was followed by Dan Houser from Shelby Twp. With 14.07#
A Special “Thank You”, to Gold Eagle, for being the title sponsor of this event.
