TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Top Bass Tournament Trail, held its 9th and final tournament of 2022. This event was named “The Humminbird & Minn Kota 2 Day Championship, presented by Northwoods Outlet”, in honor of three of our very Great Sponsors.
The weather for the Championship, was very good. We had sun & clouds, both days, with about normal to below normal winds, and temps in the 74-85 degree range.
The fishing was also very good, as we had 57 limits come to the scales over the 2 days, and a total of 332 bass weighed in. All 332 of the bass were released alive back into the river. Great Job to all!!!
Congratulations to John Franko, from Clare, who had 2 great days of l6.08# & 16.26# for the tournament win, with a total of 32.34#. John also had Big Bass on Day 1 with 4.61#, and won 2nd Place Option Pot both days. Second Place went to Billy Booth, from Midland, who had a 2 day total of 31.21#, and also took home the day 1, first place Option Pot with 16.38#. Andy Maier, from Midland, held down 3rd Place with 29.93#. Following just behind Andy, was Morris Collins, from W. Bloomfield, with 29.24#. Fifth Place went to Kevin Vida, from Clare, with 28.84#. He was followed by Hayden Gosen, from Davison, with 28.53#. Hayden also took day 2, First Place Option Pot, with 16.46#.
Day 2 Big Bass winner, went to Travis Green, from Grand Blanc, with 4.73#.
Big Bass for the season, when to Elmer Daniels, from Jackson, with a nice 5.42# largemouth, caught June 18th, on Lake St. Helen.
The 2022 ANGLER OF THE YEAR, went to Billy Booth, from Midland, as he out classed all others, by winning his 6th consecutive – “Angler Of The Year”. Great Job Billy!!
