TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Shoe’sTop Bass Tournament Trail held its 4th tournament of the 2023 season June 24th on Houghton Lake.

This tournament was named “The Frank’s Great Outdoors – Challenge – 2”, after one of our great sponsors. This was a normal one day event, with an added optional 2 lake Challenge event. For those who entered the Challenge, this was the 2nd Lake in the optional Challenge event.

The weather for the tournament was nice, as it was cool at take off, but warmed up quickly with a high around 83 by weigh-in, with normal winds. Unlike last week, where we had only 4 fish over 3 pounds, this week we had 21 over 3 pounds, come to the scales. Of all that came to the scales, only 2 bass did not make it back into the lake. Good Job to all who fished.

Congratulations to Bob Wingate, from Lake, who won the tournament with a limit at 15.04#. Second Place went to Mark Reinke, from Gladwin, close behind 1st, with 14.99#. Nathan Troyanek, from New Boston, held down 3rd Place with 14.84#. In Fifth Place, we had Travis Vida, from Clare, with 14.69#.

Fifth Place went to John Franko, from Clare, with 14.56#. The RecLending Big Bass for the tournament, went to Jordan Dopp, from Sanford, with a 4.56# bass.
