TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Shoe’s Top Bass Tournament Trail, held its 6th tournament of the 2023 season, on Houghton Lake. The tournament launched out of the west end DNR ramp.
The tournament was named “The Humminbird & Minn Kota Open”, after one of our outstanding sponsors.
The weather for this event was partly cloudy skies, with temps in the 80’s, and light winds.
The fishing for this tournament was very tough, as we only had less than half the field able to come to the scales to weigh-in.
Congratulations to Brian Anderson, from Linwood, who ran away with this event with a quality limit that topped the scales at 19.60#. His limit was anchored by Big Bass for the event at 4.33#.
Second Place was a very tight race, as Jeff Plutt from Houghton Lake, had a limit at 15.02# to take 2nd Place. In Third Place, just .01#, behind Plutt, was Keith Gyulveszi from Clare with 15.01#. Just back of both of them, was Travis Vida from Clare, with a limit that hit the scales at 14.94#, who was the 4th place finisher. Just 1 tenth of a pound separated 5th from 2nd place.
