SHOE'S TOP BASS

TOURNAMENT TRAIL

The Ego Fishing Open

July 8th, 2023 on Missaukee Lake

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Top Bass Tournament Trail held its fifth tournament of the 2023 season on Missaukee Lake on July 8th, 2023. The tournament went out of the Missaukee Park ramp, on west side of the lake.

This tournament was named “The EGO Fishing Open”, after one of our great sponsors.  EGO makes quality landing nets, and many other great products that you can check out online.

The weather for the tournament was “WET”, as it rained off and on, almost the entire tournament, up to an hour before weigh-in.  The temp was mostly in the middle 60’s until about weigh-in then 75+.

Even with the wet weather, the fishing was very good.  We had 38 limits come to the scales, with 25 bass over the 3 pound mark.

Congratulations to Tom Shoemaker Jr., from Pinconning, who took the 1st Place Win, with 16.70#.  Tom’s limit was anchored by Big Bass for the tournament at 5.08#.  This was Tom’s 2nd win in the last 3 tournaments, both contained Big Bass for the events.

Second Place saw Ron Conner, from Oxford put a nice limit of 15.25# on the scales.

Billy Booth, from Midland,  held down 3rd Place, with 14.85#. Close behind Billy, was Michael Sielinski, from Gladwin, in 4th Place, with 14.60#.  Fifth Place went to Brian Anderson, from Linwood with 13.41#

A special Thank You, to EGO Fishing, for being the title sponsor of this event.
