TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Shoe’sTop Bass Tournament Trail opened up their 29th season with a tournament on the Saginaw River/Limited Bay, out of the Independence Bridge Launch, on Saturday, May 24th 2025. The event was named, “The Gold Eagle Open”, after one of our very best sponsors. Gold Eagle makes quality 303 Products and Sta-BiL.  Make sure you try their products on your boat and motor.

The weather for the tournament started off cloudy, cold with a temp of 40 and 10mph winds.  The Temp worked its way up to the middle 60’s by weigh-in.The fishing was pretty good,  as we had over 35 limits come to the scales, but not many 4+ pounders.

Congratulations to Jamie Sochocki, from Bridgeport, who’s 1st Place, 5 fish limit turned the scales at 22.88#.   Second Place went to Billy Booth, from Midland with a limit at 20.34#, which also included Big Bass for the tournament at 5.50#.  Mike Parsons, from Clare, held down Third Place with 19.80#.  In Fourth Place, we had Nathan Derdowski, from Saginaw with 17.85#.  Last Years Angler Of The Year, John Franko, from Clare, held down Fifth Place with 17.60#.

We had a 100% live release of all fish weighed in.  Great Job to all.
